An exclusive first listen of "Blacktop Don't" is live on EverythingNash.com today.
"We're thrilled with the reception that 'Blacktop Don't' has been getting on tour," says BoomTown Saints' Chris Ramos. "Like my partner Ben Chism often says, this song captures what it is to be at a BoomTown Saints show in an audio track and it is one of our favorites."
A sizzling anthem for the best that summer can be, "Blacktop Don't" was written by Hunter Phelps (Florida Georgia Line), Michael Tyler (Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley), and Ben Johnson (Kane Brown, Charlie Puth) and produced by Noah Gordon and Gary Kraen. Chism's incredible vocals and Ramos’ tight soaring harmonies, provide a lift that makes "Blacktop Don't" instantly recognizable.
BoomTown Saints' popularity has been steadily growing since the release of their debut single, "All Trucks Go To Heaven" which charted on Billboard, Music Row and CDX True Indie. They've been praised for their songwriting, musicianship, and ability to connect with audiences through their music. With "Blacktop Don't," they've been able to build on that momentum and attract even more fans.
About BoomTown Saints: Listed amongst a handful of new artists in Billboard’s “What’s New in the New Year,” BoomTown Saints represent one of the only new male duos emerging onto the country music landscape in the past year. Since releasing their debut single, “All Trucks Go To Heaven,” the duo (Chris Ramos and Ben Chism) have been embraced by such industry outlets as Billboard, Music Row Magazine, Music Connection Magazine, CMT, The Country Network, Taste of Country and others. The duo paths first crossed at a gig when they were both performing as solo artists. An immediate synergy between the two quickly developed and led to the formation of BoomTown Saints in 2018. The two initially pursued careers outside of music -- Chris, as a healthcare consultant climbing the corporate ladder in the pharmaceutical industry, and Ben, who was headed to medical school after graduating with a degree in Biology on a full academic and baseball scholarship. After Ben won the regional Texas Country Showdown singing competition he went on to the Southeast USA contest and finished Top 10 in the nationwide event, the tide turned and he decided to take “music over medicine.” Likewise, after getting multiple cuts as a writer on albums ranging from pop, to country, to electronic music, Chris decided to pursue his dream in music and form a band.
