About Bar Continental

Inspired by the Japanese “kissa” concept, which are tea lounges that gained popularity in the 1950s and eventually morphed into cocktail bars, Chef Sean Brock’s Bar Continental combines his love of music, Japanese culture, and simple, yet innovative cuisine. Located in the Grand Hyatt hotel in Downtown Nashville, Bar Continental’s bar service and dinner menu offer classic cocktails, a curated wine list, local beer on tap, and a menu of signature dishes showcasing the best seafood available. Bar Continental has seating at two distinct bars, the Wolf Bar and the Onken Bar, in addition to the main dining room, where guests can enjoy rare records played through the highest quality audiophile equipment with friends and family. A first of its kind in the South, Bar Continental spotlights high-quality, worldly presentations with just a few ingredients, whether a bar snack or a cup of tea, celebrating the essence of each offering and the experience it provides.
