The 6 1 5 Featuring Erin Gibney

My name is Erin and I am a country-pop singer-songwriter. I moved to Nashville in 2017 right after I graduated high school, and I went to Belmont University as a Music Business major. I have loved music since I was a kid and always knew I wanted to be an artist! I have two sisters, am an avid reader, and love pop culture, 2000s TV shows, and coffee.  My next single, "By June," comes out October 25, 2024.

Erin Gibney's Top Six

What makes Nashville special to you? I love that Nashville is a city built on creativity. Everywhere you turn, there is someone making art in some form. I love being surrounded by so many like-minded people who love music and creating as much as I do. It’s a beautiful thing to be a part of and a beautiful place to call home.

How would you say your hometown of Southington differs from Nashville? I come from a small town in Connecticut that differs so much from Nashville. There was not a music scene where I grew up, and my first year in Nashville, I remember how much I loved going into a bar or restaurant and getting to hear live music. It is one of the main reasons I fell in love with the city.

Say you had a completely free day in Nashville—no work allowed. What would you be doing? If I had a completely free day in Nashville, I would get a coffee from 8th and Roast (my favorite spot) and head over to 12 South. I would walk around the shops and Sevier Park. For lunch, I would go to The Butter Milk Ranch!

What are some of your favorite Nashville restaurants? I absolutely love Pelato, Carne Mare, Emmy Squared, and The Pub!

Of course we love your style, any favorite Nashville shops? My favorite places to shop are Molly Green, Finnley’s, and Uncommon James.

If someone is coming to Nashville for the first time, where do you take them? If someone is coming to Nashville for the first time, I would of course take them to Broadway. I would show them the nightlife that Nashville has to offer! During the day, I would take them to Germantown to walk around the shops and restaurants and to see a Sounds game!

One Thing About Nashville

What is one way Nashville has influenced your music? Being in Nashville has encouraged me to take playing my instruments more seriously. For a while, I didn’t put much effort into improving my skills on piano and guitar. Being in Nashville helped me see the value in being a confident instrumentalist on top of being a confident vocalist!
